Call for Papers: Boston Medical Case Journal (BMCJ)

The Boston Medical Case Journal (BMCJ) invites submissions for its inaugural and upcoming issues. BMCJ is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of real-world medical case reports and applied clinical analyses. The journal provides a professional forum for clinicians, physician-scientists, and healthcare professionals to share practice-driven insights, diagnostic reasoning, therapeutic decision-making, and reproducible clinical experiences encountered in routine and complex medical care.

The journal welcomes high-quality submissions across medical and surgical specialties, including but not limited to clinical case reports, case series, diagnostic challenges, imaging-based analyses, multidisciplinary case discussions, perioperative and critical care cases, rare presentations and atypical disease courses, as well as applied cases involving digital health, AI-assisted diagnostics, and technology-enabled clinical workflows. Submissions should emphasize clinical context, decision-making rationale, management strategies, outcomes, and lessons learned, rather than purely theoretical discussion.

BMCJ accepts Case Reports, Case Series, Applied Clinical Analyses, Diagnostic and Imaging Cases, Multidisciplinary Case Perspectives, and invited Editorials by arrangement. All submissions must comply with accepted ethical standards, including written informed patient consent where applicable, full anonymization of patient-identifiable information, and adherence to CARE (Case Report) reporting principles.

During its initial launch phase, the Boston Medical Case Journal does not charge article processing fees. Publication is free of charge at this stage. Any future changes to the publication model will be communicated transparently and well in advance.

The journal offers rigorous peer review by subject-matter experts, online-only open access publication, and a transparent editorial process with rolling review and continuous publication upon acceptance.
